Affordable planner part 2

Ok so just when I thought I was going to start putting more energy into this blog, LIFE happened!
So I could list excuses but ... ok I will list excuses lol My best friend and sister just delivered my niece :) so of coarse there have been cuddles and lots of visits. I have also been planning a wedding, eearchi in g for job, looking for retals once I relocate (yes I am moving ) (yes I am a glutin for punishment) As well as aabiut embark on a road trip with my sweetie pie. So yep thqts my escuses, do you still love me long time?

Now down to buissness. I had recently did a post about my affordanle planner. Well I gave you guys a list of items I often n used in my planner and I wanted to eleaborate.
So one thing I do is color coding.  Plain color stickers are easy to find. So what I do is assign repeating efents  and task colors. For example green may be the color I use to remind myself to take the garbage bins up. Blue could be doctors appt, yelow could be bill reminders. You get the drift. Paper clips make a great tool when it comes to your planner. Anytime I kow I will need access to something again I use a paper clip and attach it to the appropriate date. However when I  want to quickly put something away  I typically staple it to the page. Items like concert tickets,  movie tickets or other special keepsakes will always be stapled. See I save my planners (kinda like a journal) so that is a great way to hold on to sentjmental items without them ever really being in the way. Post-its Post its Post-its three cheers for post its . I cant say enough good things about these.  Ran out of space o on a day? Stick a post it over it . Need to  jot down a few things ? Grab a post it (I like to keep oe or two post its pre stuck through out my weeks just for random notes. In addition to  post its I love lable stickers.whenever I make a error on a day I just peel a label sticker place it on the day n start over and it still looks nice and neat.  I think thats all for now. If you have any questions just leave comment.

P.s. when I get to 100 followers I will be having giveaway.$5 custom photo stickers and event labels
Stayed tuned...

My(for now) Affordable Planner

As you may your may not know my new obsession is being organized. It's a must for my life right now. A big part of staying organized and on top of things is a planner. With a planner I am Able to keep track of everything from penciling in study time, appointments, important dates, look back on information with ease and much more. There are a lot of great planners out there but I wanted a affordable option. I took it as a challenge to see how affordable I could it together a planner that was functional and at least some what cute. So I went to my local Dollar General and piced up supplies.

1. Post it notes
2.Post it tabs
3. Border stickers
 4. Stickers
5.tape trends tape 2 rolls
6.color coded dots
7.white labels
 8.gel pens
9.paperchlips

All for around $20

My hope was to make it colorful, fun and above all motivate me to use it.
The things I purchased were not enough to organize the whole planner(which was $4) so keep that in mind. However it did put me off to a great start. The cost I have seen for (ready to plan) planners is about $30-$85 on average. Doing things this way you save easily $50 bucks,if not more.
Look for part 2 of this post as I will go more into detail with how I use the above items organize my own planner.

Kim Kardashian Wedding

So I have been super busy with school so it has been difficult to baby this blog like I want. However I am going to try to get better and slowly but surely this blog is going to be great.I have amazing things planned. I was wondering what type of blogs everyone would enjoy reading the most. Please comment below and let me know.

On a completely different note, now that the pictures of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding have been released what are everyone's thoughts? Did you just love it or did you hate it? Honestly the best way I can describe my thoughts on the Kimye wedding is underwhelmed. Its not because the wedding wasn't beautiful, in a bad location or anything like that. I just expected more from the mougal duo.The biggest bust for me was the New Mrs. West's gown. I have Included a link of  some photos at the bottom. What are your flops and favs fromhttp://blog.theknot.com/2014/05/27/see-kim-kardashians-givenchy-wedding-dress-and-get-the-look/ this celebrity wedding?

Wedding Stationary from Wedding Paper Divas

I recently heard about a great company for wedding/event stationary so of coarse I went to check them out. I was really impressed with their site. I also did a online live chat with a customer service rep to answer a few questions I had, He was very helpful.I then noticed that they had a tab where you can place a order for up to 8 wedding invitation sample's. I was very excited to find that I was going to be able to learn more of this company before I chose them for a major event in my life as well as before a large investment. So I browsed the very large array of stationery and chose my top eight. I then went to checkout and found that shipping was free as well on the sample's (yes the pot just got sweeter). I was sent a order confirmation right away and then another when my order shipped.(did I fail to mention you are sent a tracking number and that the samples ship via FedEx?) As if you couldn't tell I am beyond impressed. The kit is so helpful and informnative. Not only were my samples amazing but font, envelop and color swatches were also included plus  a coupon. If you are planning a wedding, bridal shower, engagement party or bachelorette party you must check out the link below for $20 off your purchase

Blog revamping.

So I assume if you are at all like me you tend to be curious as to what type of person writes a blow. To help you answer that question(at least as it pertains to me) I am going to start this blog off by telling you a little about myself and what you can and can't expect from this blog. Firstly I am a 28 year old who loves all things beauty, fashion and more. I also am pretty domestic and love to try out new recipes, housekeeping techniques and someone who genuinely wants to love where I live and leave where I love. As such this blog will be a mishmash of those things and so much more. My hope is that there will be something here for every women. I myself am a single student now but I was a married housewife for many years. I hope that gives me a good starting point of common interests with all of you. I know all to well the pressures of life while still trying to find time for yourself but be the best in whatever role(s) you choose to fill.
While I love to pamper myself, keep a lovely home and enjoy any of the finer things in life I am a total cheapskate and I try to do everything while still being budget savy. If any of the above appeals to you then I think you have found a blog you will enjoy reading time and time again. So get ready to add a candy coating to your life and stay tuned. P.s My spelling and grammer sucks lol I am only human. ;)
